Studied at National University of Singapore and the Architectural Association in London and later worked in the offices of Rick Mather Architects, Zaha Hadid and The Danish Practice CF Moller. In 1997 he set up his own architecture studio in London, Voon Wong Architects, to pursue private projects. In 2001 he stated to work on product design with Benson Saw, a graduate from London’s Royal College of Art and went on to be in the selection for the Italian Compasso D’Oro prize.

In 2006 the businesses combined to form VW+BS, a multidisciplinary practice working on product design and architecture including the award – winning Upper Class cabins and on board bars for Virgin Atlantic. Voon Wong also won the Singapore President’s Designer of the Year Award 2012 based on a body of award-winning product design work.

The latest iteration of the business is Viewport Studio, with Voon Wong as the creative director of a multidisciplinary agency working on a variety of projects for aviation clients, such as Delta Air Lines and EasyJet, hotel projects and private architectural work.
