Soo K. Chan is a practicing architect based in Singapore and New York. He is the founding principal and design director of SCDA, established in 1995, a multi-disciplinary firm engaging in Architecture, Interior, Landscape, Lighting and Product design.

A graduate from Yale University, Ar. Chan has lectured and taught in several international universities and is currently a professor of Architecture at the National University of Singapore. SCDA’s portfolio ranges from master planning, resorts and hotels, mix-use developments and high-rise luxury residences, spanning Asia/Oceania, Africa, Europe and America.

In addition to architecture practice, Ar. Chan has been involved in designing, developing and managing his own sustainable hospitality brand Soori, with completed projects in Bali, New York and Penang. Projects in Niseko and Wyoming are currently under development. Through SCDA Lab and the Soori Fund, he has spearheaded social, and cultural initiatives to advance the environmental cause.
