Christoph Ingenhoven (*1960) studied architecture at the RWTH University in Aachen (1978–1984) and further studied art history at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Hans Hollein (1980–1983). In 1985, he founded the architectural practice ingenhoven associates. The office received international acclaim in 1997 with the RWE Tower in Essen, one of the first ecological high-rise buildings worldwide. Since 1997, ingenhoven associates have been planning the Stuttgart underground central station as the centerpiece of the Stuttgart 21 transportation and urban design project. The practice has developed several excellent high-rise projects in Singapore, Japan and Australia. In 2020, ingenhoven associates completed the Kö-Bogen II, the conclusion of an extensive urban renewal project in the heart of Düsseldorf including Europe’s biggest green façade.

Christoph is one of the leading international architects committed to sustainable and ecological architecture. The practice’s main office is located in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbor area. In addition, it is represented internationally in St. Moritz, Sydney and Singapore.
