Hunter is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bruce Mau Design where he is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction, creative excellence and global business development.

Hunter is passionate about building truly great teams, helping develop strategies and driving growth for clients and brands.

Over the course of the past two decades, he has worked with business, cultural and design leaders from organizations such as Samsung, GE, Unilever, Sonos, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing on a range of design initiatives.

Currently Hunter is overseeing large-scale brand design efforts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC and the new Design Society in Shenzhen, China in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Prior to joining BMD, Tura was Managing Director at 2x4, Inc., responsible for leading operational and strategic business efforts in the U.S. and China, and previously was a designer at Rockwell Group in New York and has worked in the office of AMO/Rem Koolhaas.        

Hunter serves as an External Advisor and Guest Lecturer at Designskolen Kolding, where he organized the first BRAND x (Place) Conference in May 2015. Additionally, he has served on the design faculty of the University of California - Berkeley, Columbia University, and California College of the Arts and has been a lecturer and guest critic at Universities and conferences worldwide.

Hunter received his BA from Haverford College in the Growth and Structure of Cities program and has a Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Van Alen Institute and a member of the Editorial Board for TASSMEEM, published by VCU Qatar.
